VANCOUVER, British Columbia – January 19, 2012 – ActiveState, whose software enables developers and enterprises to innovate from code to cloud smarter, faster, and safer, announced today the newest version of ActiveState Stackato, the infrastructure-agnostic, multilingual private Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution. In this release, Stackato extends its private PaaS support to OpenStack, Linux KVM, and Citrix XenServer, and improves the user experience (UX) of its Management Console.

Minor updates include improved application lifecycle management including full Linux containerization for staging, improved speed of Perl deployment, and new hooks for pre-staging setup.
