VANCOUVER, British Columbia – April 12, 2001 – Controversy rages in the open source community about XSLT. Some view it as a competitor and others a complement to open source scripting languages. This talk will demonstrate the sort of problems that XSLT is uniquely qualified to address and the kind that are better left to conventional programming languages. It will also demonstrate how we can combine the virtues of XSLT with those of traditional languages such as Perl, Python, Java and JavaScript.
